Seniors
Understand your diagnosis, medications and options in plain language, and stay in charge of your own care.
Experience You Can Trust. Care You Can Understand.
I'm Gwen Nelson-Alexis. After more than three decades in intensive care and emergency medicine, I now guide older adults and the people who love them through diagnoses, hospital stays and the decisions that follow.
When an aging parent is suddenly in the hospital, or the doctors start using words no one understands, you deserve someone in your corner who has been on the other side of the bed.
Understand your diagnosis, medications and options in plain language, and stay in charge of your own care.
Coordinate care for a parent or loved one, keep everyone on the same page, and make hard decisions together.
Get practical guidance, a nurse's perspective, and support so you don't have to carry it all alone.
For more than 35 years I worked in intensive care units and emergency rooms, where families face some of the hardest moments of their lives.
I saw again and again how quickly patients, especially older adults, get lost in the system, and how much a calm, knowledgeable voice can change what happens next. The Legacy Nurse is how I bring that experience directly to you. I explain medical information clearly, help you organize records and questions, and stand beside you in conversations with doctors, hospitals and insurers so your loved one's wishes are understood and respected.
